
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. Her acting career began at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. In the school she was a part of stage productions. The comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was her Broadway debut. The Crucible revival came out in the following year. After starring in the action-thriller Spartan (2004) and Gracie's Choice (2004), she received praise for her performance in Gracie's Choice (2004). Then, she made her Broadway stage debut as Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer. After that, she was cast in the popular teen drama TV series Veronica Mars (2004). Her performance received critical acclaim and a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on television. She reprised the character in the 2014 film and the renewal in 2019. During her time in Veronica Mars, Bell starred as Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) which was an incarnation of the character she been in the New York musical of the identical name.Bell played the role of Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 until the year 2008. Bell was the voice of the narrator in the Teen Drama series Gossip Girl, reprising the role in the 2021 sequel. Bell was also on the show as Jeannie van der Hooven the female lead on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. She also acted as Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This role led to her being nominated for the Golden Globe Award. Bell was also the main character on the streaming series The Woman in the house Just across the street from The Girl in the Window.
