Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who made her name with clever raps that tackled sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. Her career then grew into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her. She also received the classical and jazz education later when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. When she was in high her schooling, she specialized in women's studies and journalism. She was also a student of Mandarin briefly in Beijing. She turned her attention towards music after she finished her studies. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits like body positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC BitcheUSD. This latter song was directly tied to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. The resume of her included the musician and author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors and Storks. She had a breakthrough role in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. In June she released In Fina We Trust.
